Working within the EEAST internal team and in collaboration with the regional UEC performance and improvement teams this role will be responsible for driving improvement of care within the pre-hospital and hospital arrival arenas. This will include fully utilising existing care and developing future care pathways, monitoring system's adherence to these and working with the NHS England regional teams and ICS UEC Leads to embed. Playing a leading role in developing robust EEAST surge and escalation processes and resilience planning with systems and providers.
- Responsible and accountable for EEAST integrated winter plan working with ICS UEC teams to ensure equity of provision across the region.
- Responsibility to lead and deliver pan regional programmes of work in collaboration with NHS England and ICS’s, this includes pan regional surge and escalation processes.
- Improving current data flows/feedback loops between EEAST/ICS/Region to enable better oversight and awareness of what is driving performance and where learning can be identified and acted on.
- Work with ICS’s and provider organisations to undertake regular missed opportunities audits and end to end reviews, create subsequent actions plans with stakeholders to address missed opportunities.
- Proactively share best practice and evaluate plans and performance against this for example if we know something works supporting consistent delivery across each ICS.
- Regional oversight of implementation Access to Stack portal Phase 1 and 2.
- Clearly identify EEAST regional levers and ensure these are used to maximum effect - Escalation / best practice / best practice in place overlaid with performance.
- Provide dedicated EEAST oversight and support for ICS with poorest ambulance performance indicators i.e. Handover delays.
- Contribute to the corporate stewardship of the Trust as a member of the senior leadership.
Reporting in to the Director of Integration the role will be part of the Business and Partnerships team in EEAST but working closely with the ops and the clinical directorates to support the implementation of the New UEC Clinical Strategy. Key relationships will also be with the emerging ICS UEC leadership teams working with the regional team to support the development of a system approach to UEC.
