Warehouse Operative

Wincanton's continued success and expansion are creating **exciting opportunities**for **Warehouse Operatives**to join a new, dynamic team in the Doncaster area. Our dedicated People Campus team provides highly skilled and experienced warehouse colleagues to our four local operations: two at Redhouse Interchange and two at Trax Park. This role offers the chance to work across all four sites as needed.

**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**

Ensure customer expectations are always met by expertly handling daily warehouse tasks, achieving all targets, and upholding the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and hygiene.

This role will be required to use Materials Handling Equipment (MHE) specifically Low-Level Order Pickers (LLOP), High Level Order Pickers (HLOP), Powered Pallet Trucks (PPT) and Counterbalance Forklift Trucks. No previous experience is required, full training will be provided.

**3.**ROLE OVERVIEW**
- To commute to one of our four sites within the people campus area for each shift. (Note that these may be different for each shift)
- Ensuring the operation that you are deployed into meets all daily targets by completing each task to the highest quality standards.
- To be responsible for the health and safety of self and your colleagues by ensuring all tasks are always carried out using the relevant procedures and by adhering to safe working practices. These may vary in subtle ways across the three sites within the campus area.
- You will be required to undertake loading, picking, packing and unloading duties which may involve the lifting of heavy stock/products.
- Completing several manual handling tasks and duties safely using pallet trucks and other mechanical handling equipment (MHE).
- To carry out the preparation of orders accurately, efficiently and to the highest quality level.
- Checking of picked stock and assembled loads prior to dispatch.
- Completing tasks using a variety of systems including handheld devices and voice picking via a headset.
- To show professionalism within the role to promote the culture, values, and reputation of Wincanton and the Labour Campus team.
- Must be adaptable to assist in all areas of the warehouse.
- Must be punctual, reliable, and committed to achieve daily and weekly KPI's.
- Ability to work within a rapidly changing environment.
- Health and Safety awareness and compliance to maintain the highest safety standards.
- Ensuring good attendance and timekeeping levels are maintained.
- Organised and methodical.
- Will have a good eye for detail combined with basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to use own initiative.
- Good communicator and a positive attitude to work.
