Reporting to the Transactional Finance Manager you will play a key part in the finance team ensuring strong and efficient processing to support the wider business
Duties will include supporting the Finance Team with Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable function, tasks and queries. Cash management, cost control and support contract renewals.
The role requires good organisational, interpersonal and MS office skills. Use of spreadsheets is a pre-requisite skill. The ability to work as part of a team and a proactive can-do attitude are essential. A basic understanding of accounting practice is required so that the context of the work is understood. You will also provide support to the other members of the department as and when required.
**Responsibilities**
- Accounts Payable - Processing purchase invoices for goods/services. Ensure the accuracy of supplier currencies, addresses and contacts including the setting up of supplier accounts as per the company’s internal controls.
- Accounts Receivable - Issue invoices for goods/services rendered, assist in monitoring customer credit health checks. Ensure the accuracy of billing currencies, billing addresses and billing contacts including the setting up of customer accounts as per the company’s internal controls.
- Provide support with audits and checking for discrepancies in financial accounts
- Cash Management - Receipts and payments processing, bank reconciliation and cashflow forecasting.
- Cost control - Reporting and input of expenses data against budget requirements.
- Support Contract Renewals - reconciliation of support contracts, maintaining records and producing invoices to customers.
**Experience and Qualifications**
- Good MS office skills
- Basic understanding of accounting practices
- Good organisation, interpersonal and communication skills
- Good numeracy and English literacy
- Working towards an AAT qualification
**Desirable**_: _**
- Competency with NetSuite or similar financial accounting software
- At least 1- 2 years’ experience in a finance function
