In this vital role within our Production department, you’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of plant and equipment to support our manufacturing objectives. Working closely with your First Line Manager, you’ll play a key part in delivering the production plan, ensuring full compliance with safety, health, environmental, and process safety standards.

**How You’ll Help Us Grow**
- Sustain high level of personal SHE awareness in the Plant operating teams to ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations at all times.
- Complies with all Process Safety Management related procedures and established work methods, reporting all process safety incidents or hazards and contributing to incident investigations.
- Operate plant and equipment according to Standard Operating Procedures to deliver the Production Plan whilst maintaining the highest possible standards of health and safety compliance.
- To observe and monitor processes, taking readings and samples as required and reporting any deviations from the norm.
- To observe the operation of plant, equipment and services and to report promptly any deficiencies.
- To ensure all Process Documentation is completed correctly for all work carried out on shift.
- Ensure that all necessary environmental protection systems are functioning correctly through testing and observation. Where necessary, any deficiencies should be reported to line management and immediate action taken to stem the release.
- To handle and where necessary transport, hazardous materials and other process materials in a safe and correct manner to meet the process requirement.
- To carry out such other duties as are necessary to ensure smooth working of the department and the maintenance of good housekeeping.
- To assist in on-the-job training of other employees when required.

**Could This Be You?**

We’re looking for a detail-focused individual with a strong foundation in numeracy and literacy, capable of following precise process and safety instructions. A background in science is essential, supported by a relevant qualification. Prior experience in processing or manufacturing environments is preferred. A comprehensive training period of 6 to 12 months will be provided to ensure full competency in the role.

This role is a shift role working 2-day shifts (12 hours) 2 nights shifts (12 hours) then 4 off. This repeats 7 times then there is an 18-day break. Holidays are included in the shift pattern.

Pay: £41,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
