Barnet Football Club is in an exciting period of growth, and we are looking for an experienced graphic designer to drive and deliver the creative vision. As a graphic designer supporting the Media and Communications team, you will be responsible for developing eye-catching materials used by Barnet FC, The London Bees and other supporting organisations.
You will naturally have a keen eye for design and demonstrate an obsession for consistency and perfection across all work. Reporting to the Head of Media and Communications, this full-time role will produce high-end graphics, and final artwork materials such as adverts, literature, matchday programmes, posters, web banners and digital content.
You will often manage workloads for a number of sub-companies based at The Hive London, so strong time management skills and a positive attitude will be essential.
Start Date: ASAP with ability to complete handover on 31 August
Role and Responsibilities
- Produce graphics for the club and additional organisations, including but not exclusive to social media assets, website graphics, flyers, posters, banners, leaflets, matchday programmes, adverts, and merchandise.
- Respond to briefs with creative concepts and design ideas that support the objectives of the club.
- Think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics, and layouts.
- Understand the importance of communications across a scope of platforms.
- Work as part of a wider, innovative team.
- To be able to work flexible and unsociable hours where the role of the job requires.
- Comply with all company policies.
- Promote the Barnet FC brand and ethos in a professional, strong, and positive manner.
Experience, Skills and Attributes
Essential
- Degree in design or similar equivalent experience (including certifications).
- Comprehensive portfolio of own design work.
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud for Mac (inc. InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop).
- Experience with video animation software, such as After Effects and Premier Pro
- Highly competent in using all Mac equipment.
- The ability to edit photographs, videos, and GIFs
- Broad experience formatting artwork for print across various formats & specifications
- Accuracy and attention to detail when finalising designs
- Passion and enthusiasm for design, with a creative flair
- Self-motivation and able to work meticulously, both individually and as a team, to achieve tight deadlines.
- A good standard of written English.
- Flexibility in working hours.
- An understanding of the nature of working for fast-paced, dynamic organisations, with the ability to adapt to quickly changing situations and movable workloads.
- An organised and efficient approach to work.
- Full clean driving license, with access to own transport.
Desirable
- Photography experience.
- A passion for sport and the community.
- An understanding of National League Football, Barnet FC, and the surrounding geographical areas.
**Salary**: £22,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Edgware, HA8 6AG: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
