We are currently seeking a Part-time Payroll and HR Officer in a newly created role for the business. Historically, the payroll and HR functions have been seperate but to improve our processes, and ensure accurate processing of payroll, the role will sit under the HR function with dotted line into Finance when processing payroll.
The HR and Payroll advisor will also support the day-to-day HR activity for the Group, with a focus on one of our recently acquired businesses based in Sutton. There will be a requirement to visit our Herne Hill two days per week.
**What will you be doing?**
Payroll
- Process the Group’s payroll every pay period;
- Maintain payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data;
- Adhere to payroll policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant payroll legislative requirements;
- Identify, investigate and resolve discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records;
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employees' pay records;
- Complete payroll reports for record-keeping purposes and/or managerial review;
- Produce and distribute payslips, P45s, P60s and P11Ds, or similar, as required;
- Manage pension, child care vouchers, HMRC payment and submissions.
**HR**:
- Support disciplinary, capability and grievance processes, in the capacity required; Review/update HR policies, as required;
- Responsible for all elements of the employee life cycle;
- Co-ordinating and participating in on-boarding tasks and inductions;
- Monitor, report on and guide attendance levels across the Group;
- Responsible for management of HRIS, ensure line managers are trained in the use of PeopleHR and personnel records are accurately maintained and up to date;
- Provide weekly reporting to Group HR Manager.
- Build positive and collaborative relationships with stakeholder, leaders and staff alike;
- Associated HR administrative duties - offer letters, contracts, employee communications, right to work, references, etc;
- Participate and support HR projects, whilst also owning a number of HR projects;
- Together with the Group HR Manager, ensure the Group is compliant with Employment Legislations;
- Support the Group to promote the wellbeing of its employees;
- Support and assist with the Group’s employee engagement drive;
- Promoting HR best practice across the Group;
- HR support for staff and business leaders;
**Salary**: Up to £35,000.00 per year
