We are looking for a Head of Service (Supported Living) to join us during an exciting time within our business. The position is full-time, permanent, and based at our office in Morecambe. We’re looking for an energetic, creative, people person with excellent customer relations and experience in care provision to join our team and lead one of our divisions. Our supported living division works across, learning disability services and mental health rehabilitation.

- Salary: £38,410.00 per annum (based on 40 hours a week, including enhancements, such as on-call duties)

As the Head of Service, you will be the driving force of quality care delivery, leading and supporting client services, focusing on quality, compliance, and ensuring our client experience doesn't just meet CQC’s KLOE standards, but is the very best quality it can be. As the business grows, there is a strong possibility that this role will take on the responsibilities of a registered manager.
You will be involved in the growth and development of our care services, ensuring the delivery of outstanding quality care. This will include the efficient day-to-day running of the business, client acquisition, quality control, managing the needs of the existing clients and day-to-day management of support workers and seniors, who will be supporting you in your role.
This role is suitable for an experienced manager in the care sector looking for a new challenge.
You will lead, manage and support a team of Deputy Managers and Team Leaders, who provide support for Support Workers and Seniors to deliver our services to our clients.
Operating within the structure of Specialist Care Team, you will work with colleagues who’ll support you in your role, such as HR, recruitment and finance. Importantly, you will also have the full support of our Branch Manager, who will guide you through those first few weeks, and always be on hand to offer guidance and advice.
**In this varied and challenging role, you will be involved in**:
- Providing support services to vulnerable adults - our specific client groups are mental health and learning disability, but we also work with those with elderly and physical disability needs
- Promoting the highest standards of care and service to your team through mentoring, supervision and modeling best practice.
- Care planning and conducting risk assessments that promote personalisation and positive risk-taking, while ensuring compliance to relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Managing a team, making sure that exceptional service is delivered to our clients and workloads are managed accordingly.
- Ensuring successful operation of quality control systems and performing quality assurance visits for clients.
- Effectively managing complaints and incidents, carrying out investigations relating to the quality of the service, and using those findings to initiate improvements.
- Promoting a positive culture in line with the Specialist Care Team's ethos and values.
**Qualifications**:
- Experienced in leading teams in social care to provide excellent quality services
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment with the drive and motivation to develop our care services
- Flexible to meet the involving needs of a growing service
- Highly organised with exceptional planning skills and attention to detail
- Understand financial drivers and be commercially aware
- A people person, able to build excellent relationships with colleagues and clients
- Really care about delivering the best possible quality of service
- Ideally, qualified to Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services or equivalent OR willing to work towards it with experience to support the role
