**Role: Senior Residential Support Worker**

**Salary**:Up to £27,752.58 per annum - £11.11 per hour**

**Hours: 51.9 hours per week**

**Location: Tadley **commuting distance from **Reading, Basingstoke and Newbury.**

**Essential: A full driving licence, and the Right to Work in the UK**

**Shift pattern: 2 days on 2 off starting 7:30am -10pm including sleep ins**

Acorn Education and Care, are recruiting Children Care Workers to join our teams within the Tadley Region.

Our registered independent homes offer residential care for vulnerable children and young people with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) and Complex Needs.

Our residential homes are friendly and fun, though there are challenges too, everything we do is dedicated to creating rewarding experiences - for those we look after and for everyone in our team

**Acorn Cottage** is a 6 bed registered Children’s home. We support Children and Young People from the ages of 7-18 build incredible futures by giving them opportunities, developing their life skills and personal interests.

**The opportunity**

This is a role with an exciting career and development plan, structured to ensure our staff are trained, supported, and continually developed. We want to give you the best possible toolkit, to deliver outstanding care and support to our Children and young people and help them achieve incredible outcomes.

There will be a thorough induction, fully expensed training courses, and pairing with a buddy, which together will help you expand your knowledge, get qualifications, and prepare to develop your career even further towards a Team Manager or Deputy Manager position. It is an incredible opportunity to further your career and see it flourish.

**The Role**

You will be responsible for:

- The wellbeing of the children and young people in your care
- Chaperoning children to appointments and activities
- Completing relevant paperwork
- Household tasks
- Administering medication
- Lead, train and develop new and existing care workers within your team
- Helping deputy manager to maintain a skilled and knowledgeable team

**Requirements for the role**:

- Right to work in the UK
- Level 4 Apprenticeship for Children Young People and families Practitioner, or NVQ equivalent
- 1 years hand on experience in a similar residential setting
