Night Porter

Monachyle Mhor is an 18 bedroom luxury rural hotel and we are looking for an experienced Night Porter from a luxury hotel background.

As the Night Porter part of your role will ensure that our guests rest securely overnight and that they wake up with the greatest start to their day. Your role will also involve dealing with guests and colleagues, serving drinks and food after service, handling early checkouts, answering telephone calls, security of the hotel overnight, cleaning and clearing guest areas, assisting with Breakfast Service and therefore it is important that you have experience in a similar role. The Night Porter is instrumental in overseeing the running of the hotel from sundown to sunrise. This is a hands on role managing the guest expectations and ensuring the standards of the hotel are maintained.

Monachyle is situated on its own 2000 acre estate. The hotel itself has 18 individually styled rooms with 2 self-catering properties. The restaurant seats up to 40 guests with optional private dining areas overlooking Loch Voil & Loch Doune. We have a barn which is used for weddings & events which can hold up to 120 guests. Our menus are seasonal & change daily depending on what is growing in our garden or has been forage that day. We have an extensive wine list chosen & tested by the team with a fully stocked bar serving cocktails made with garden ingredients.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for enthusiasm and get up and go, excellent communication skills, great time-keeping, personality, passion with a genuine love for food, service & drink Experience in the industry is a must within a similar background and role. Strong knowledge of wine & cocktails is required.

Live-in accommodation, if required.

Working Thursday to Sunday 10pm to 10am, 4 nights per week. Extra shifts are available if required within FOH, housekeeping, kitchen

Live in or Live out, must live local if live out. If live in the accommodation will be a static caravan on site which you do not share.

Must speak English and be eligible to work within the UK with no sponsorship required.
