**Description**

Joining an established team based at our Oakdale and Merthyr facility based in South Wales, you will work across a range of stakeholders, to support the development of an internal and external communications strategy for GDLS-UK

**If you were already working in this position, this is what you would have been working on this week**:

- Handle all external communications requests from the media
- Support the joint MoD/ GD Ajax Comms Team
- Develop marketing material in support of GDLS-UK and its programmes
- Deliver, in coordination with the wider business, GDLS-UK external events
- Subject to discussion and agreement with the wider organization, handle the GDLS-UK website, social media and our on-line marketing portal.
- Experience in a communications role is desirable
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, with ability to proof read
- Able to work to a high standard with short deadlines
- Project management skills for directing staff, where appropriate, and overseeing projects
