**Purchase Ledger Clerk** required for our client, a global leader in life sciences, based in Manchester on a 12 month temporary basis however the role could become permanent.
This is a hugely exciting opportunity for someone with strong Accounts Payable knowledge, looking to work within a hugely inclusive, dynamic, and professional environment as well as be part of a team and department that are looking to further improve. TheAccounts Payable analyst involves providing financial, administrative, and clerical support to the organisation. The role is to complete payments, manage expenses, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices.
Role will include:
- Timely accurate processing of high volume of purchase invoices (using OCR default).
- Analyse and minimise unmatched outstanding items and chase through queries.
- Process, reconcile and report on Inter-Company vendors.
- Manage T&E expense claim queries and exceptions.
- Develop effective working relationships with both internal departments and vendors and understand the urgency and impact to both vendors and the corporation.
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
- Interact with auditors, accountants, and management as needed to provide information about the department and specific AP request
Key skills:
- Level of accounting experience, GCSE or equivalent in n Maths/ English.
- Preferred area of study: AAT.
- Experience: Ideally within SSC. Licenses or Certifications: AAT or equivalent.
- Knowledge: ERP (SAP) and excellent Excel skills (including vlookups and pivot tables) and OCR
