**What will you be doing?**
We are currently seeking a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join our highly successful international legal practice and be at the heart of a dynamic Finance team. This role is a 6-month fixed-term contract, combining essential credit control support as well as substantial focus on sales transactional work.
As an Accounts Receivable Assistant, you will report to the Credit Controller and your main duties will include:
- Recording daily bank transactions, in multi-currencies
- Allocating daily bank receipts according to client remittances
- Dealing with bank-related activities and administration
- Completing forms received from clients requesting company information
- Communicate financial information effectively with colleagues and external clients
- Performing credit checks for new clients
- Providing support and assistance to the Credit Controller and the Finance team
- Involvement with ad hoc projects
- Experience of working in the Finance function (within a professional services environment would be an advantage)
- GCSE Grade C or above in Mathematics and English and Minimum of 2 A levels or above (an AAT qualification, a degree or an equivalent would be an advantage
- Competent with using MS Office.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- A can-do attitude and real flexibility to change and adapt to the day to day requirements
- Good organisational skills; and
- Proactive and enthusiastic.
