An opening has arisen for an Agricultural lecturer based in Northampton. Said individual will contribute to the Department’s aim to provide high quality learning and assist in the development, organisation and delivery of the curriculum area of the Department
- Teaching and training learners and other client groups, providing up to date and relevant industry knowledge to the course
- Tutoring and managing of one or more courses of groups of students
- Develop and deliver agriculture and farm mechanism courses
- Teach learners attending full-time, part-time and short courses as directed by the Director of Curriculum and Head of School
- Offer guidance to support and motivate students within your cohort to ensure they meet their external goals
- Participate in the recruitment of learners, including attendance at Shows and Careers conventions
- Attend day and evening meetings and courses to benefit both yourself and the College
- Work pro-actively to forward the success and vision of the department and the College
- Hold responsibility for creating and maintaining a safe working environment
- Undertake classroom or workshop risk assessments if required
- Keep records and documentation and prepare appropriate reports
- Educated to HNC or above or hold an equivalent vocational experience within an Agricultural discipline
- Post graduate qualification to deliver on Further and Higher Education educational programmes
- Minimum of grade C in GCSE Maths and English Language (or equivalent)
- TAQA or Assessors / IQA Qualification
