**Working Hours**: Split Shifts (6:00 am - 9:30 am & 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm)
**Salary**: £13-£15 per hour

**About the Role**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Maintenance**: Carry out routine maintenance tasks across the school premises, including minor repairs and general upkeep of facilities.
- **Security**: Ensure the security of the school buildings, including opening and closing the premises, monitoring alarms, and conducting regular security checks.
- **Cleaning**: Support the cleaning team by ensuring that the school is kept clean and tidy, including occasional cleaning duties as needed.
- **Health and Safety**: Conduct regular health and safety checks to ensure the school complies with all safety regulations, including fire safety and playground inspections.
- **Grounds Maintenance**: Oversee the maintenance of outdoor areas, including playgrounds, walkways, and gardens, ensuring they are safe and well-kept.
- **Support School Events**: Assist with setting up and taking down equipment and furniture for school events, assemblies, and meetings.
- **Reporting**: Report any issues, hazards, or necessary repairs to the school management promptly.

**Person Specification**:
**Experience**:

- Previous experience in a caretaking, maintenance, or facilities management role is preferred but not essential.

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Strong practical skills in DIY and general maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, and external contractors.

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
- Commercial cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
- janitorial: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
