**Retail Support Officer (Maternity Cover)**

**About the role**:As a **Retail Support Officer**, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our retail department, helping our shops achieve financial goals, and contributing to the critical care provided by St David’s Hospice. This is an exciting opportunity to manage, motivate, and empower shop teams while implementing innovative retail strategies.

**We are looking for someone who will**:

- Provide operational and one-to-one support for Shop Managers and Relief Managers.
- Develop merchandising plans to maximize profitability.
- Build strong relationships with staff, volunteers, and colleagues.
- Assist in rota creation, training implementation, and policy compliance.
- Manage HR tasks like staff absences and holiday records.
- Ensure timely, accurate reporting using retail systems.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure adherence to health & safety policies.
- Stay updated with IT systems and processes.
- Oversee mandatory e-learning for team members.

**To do the role you'll need**:

- Leadership experience with a passion for team success.
- Strong IT and administrative skills.
- Driving License (you’ll be supporting multiple sites).
- Empathy for the Hospice, and alignment with the charity’s values
