Junior Waiter

Restaurant Hjem is located in the small village of Wall in the beautiful Northumberland countryside. Hjem (pronounced "yem") is both a Northumbrian and Scandinavian word for "home", making it an apt name for the restaurant which sees the very best produce of Northumberland come together with Scandinavian values and cooking techniques. The restaurant was awarded a Michelin star in 2021 and we're looking for someone who is passionate about great food, beverage and service to join us for our next chapter. Whilst some experience in hospitality is desired, a positive attitude, a love of what you do and the ability to excel in a team environment are all much more valuable to us - training can be given on the job. Hjem is open Wednesday through Saturday. We have full time and part time positions available for Junior Waiters available. As a Junior Waiter, you will be helping to serve our tasting menu to 25-30 guests each service. This includes serving in the restaurant, cleaning, restaurant set up, polishing cutlery and glassware. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to expand their experience in hospitality or for a first time role in the industry.
