**Position Purpose**

To set up, operate and ensure the safe running of automatic saws to cut materials to correct lengths and measurements, and to load, unload and keep track of stock and orders.

**Main Outcomes of the Position**

Effectively and safely operate a variety of assigned tools and equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, sketches and work orders to others. Ensure orders are measured and cut to required specifications.

**Expectations**
- Operate overhead crane and use of a forklift.
- Prioritize, schedule, and review work to meet schedules and timelines.
- Ensure all completed orders are correctly labelled and palletised before being dispatched.
- Complete daily stock inventory reports.
- Source, order and maintain proper inventory levels of materials.
- Unload raw materials from semi-trucks and store material.
- Maintain equipment and ensure the work area is clean and safe at all times.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance on saw equipment.
- Assure compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures.
- Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

**Foundation / Position Requirements**
- Educated to tertiary level with a minimum of GCSE's in English and Maths
- Previous experience with automatic power saws
- Good understanding of maths and measuring equipment
- 2 to 4 years of working experience in a similar environment
- Mechanically inclined
- Right to work in the UK.
- Technical Certification (Desirable)
