Senior Infrastructure Engineer

**Are you a 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer who enjoys project work?**
We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer who will be responsible for the implementation, support, and maintenance of all existing and future infrastructure at a very prestigious client site.
You will ensure alignment of all IT infrastructure aspects at the site in accordance with a unified approach. We are looking for a self-motivated and communicative person who thrives in a busy environment with constant change, delivering Infrastructure projectsand working in a daily operations environment too.
Reporting to the Infrastructure site lead at Stevenage, you will be responsible for seamless operations of the Infrastructure spanning across the three main client sites in the UK.

**What you will be doing**:

- Managing any incidents, requests, changes, and problems
- Management of the server environment/estates
- Maintenance and production of technical documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and skills development
- Proactively monitor the environments for issues
- Server Availability Planning in line with requirements
- Install and assemble any infrastructure hardware
- Supporting remote customer sites working with multiple infrastructure teams
- Follow standard project processes and procedures in order to produce documentation to be used in proposals
- Evaluate hardware and software (within the server, network, storage)
- Integration and testing of new infrastructure technology (both hardware and software)

**What you will bring**:

- Strong knowledge of Wintel computer hardware & operating systems (Windows 2012, 2016, 2019)
- Virtualisation, VMware ESXi 7.x, including vSphere Compliance and right sizing
- Windows DNS & DHCP, with a good understanding of both principles
- TCP/IP troubleshooting skills
- Active Directory, Group Policy, and Scripting Knowledge
- Windows Server patching using WSUS and SCCM
- Demonstrable experience with VMWare, and Windows servers in administration, operations, and support
- HP Firmware/Driver Patching Management
- HP Enterprise SAN experience and understanding
- HP Chassis and Blade Management

**It would be great if you had**:

- Experience involving multiple Operating System vendors
- Microsoft Certifications (MCP, MCITP, MCSE, MCSA, MCTS)
- Linux/Unix basic skills
- Extensive experience working in a large enterprise virtualised environment
- Security Clearance
