**Job Title: Senior Backend Developer - PHP
Location: Sunderland - Fully Remote Working or Hybrid

**Salary**: Negotiable Up to £75k**

Our client is a Software Business based in Sunderland, North East England. They’re looking to hire a Lead or Senior PHP Developer to play a vital role in their most important crew. They offer both fully remote working and hybrid working and can offer anoffice-base in any one of five locations UK-wide (Sunderland, Sheffield, Nottingham, London East, London West).

**Roles and Responsibilities**:
**Tech Stack**:

- Laravel 6 / Laravel Spark / Laravel Nova
- MySQL / Postgres databases
- Atlas
- Docker
- Gitlab
- CI/CD
- Redis
- AWS
- React

**Required Skills**:

- Laravel 5/6 experience (or similar framework such a Symfony)
- Experience in building complex systems from scratch
- Good Object Oriented and MVC practices
- Experience in building and using REST APIs
- Excellent knowledge of MySQL/MariaDB and other RDBMS systems
- Experience using git or other version control systems
- Test driven development

**Nice to Haves**:

- Ability to mentor other developers within the team
- Working knowledge of Linux server administration (CentOS & Ubuntu)
- Knowledge of administering AWS
- Experience working with Docker and containerisation technologies
- Knowledge of writing bash scripts
- Knowledge of CI/CD systems
- Experience in Codeigniter (to migrate legacy projects to Laravel)
- React / VueJS experience
