THE ROLE
We are looking for a passionate and innovative Senior Data Insight Analyst to join our Data & Analytics team - an individual that is driven and highly focused with credible previous experience leading and working on projects to deliver a variety of dataanalytics products using a range of techniques and tooling.
In this role you will oversee the day-to-day management and support of a range of existing data analytics products and services managed by the team. You will also work on a range of small and large projects to develop new products taking a lead on deliveryof work packages across the full project lifecycle.
Enabling business teams with self-serve analytics is a key part of our future roadmap. You will take a lead role in working with the wider business to expand our self-serve products, you will also champion existing products to drive adoption.
This role is an ideal role for someone who is willing to use their technical skills and experience to supervise and mentor a team of analysts, BI developers and data visualisation specialists but is also happy to take a hands-on role to deliver ongoing projectwork when required.
Key responsibilities will include;
Overseeing the day-to-day management and support of the team’s existing portfolio of data analytics products and related services
Leading on or contributing to projects delivering a full range of data analytics products using a variety of analytics tooling and techniques.
Taking a lead role in championing self-serve analytics adoption by business teams and identifying ways to enable them to be more self-sufficient in meeting their Data & Analytics requirements.
Establishing and maintaining productive cross-functional relationships with a network of business stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
Managing a team of 4-6 analysts and developers - performance managing them and supervising their day-to-day work.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING
We’re also looking for;
Essential:
Working on a range of successfully delivered small and complex data and analytics projects.
Managing a team of people - including performance management, supervising day-to-day delivery, mentoring and coaching
Stakeholder engagement and relationship management at all levels of the organisation (including senior management)
Training and coaching individuals at all levels of the organisation using a range of tools and techniques for report building, ad-hoc queries and data mining.
Delivering projects and managing products across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - using a range of project methodologies such as Waterfall or Agile
Along with credible experience of the following
Using a range of tools and techniques for report building, ad-hoc queries and data mining
Developing interactive dashboards that are simple and intuitive using modern data visualisation tools - strong Tableau experience would be a definite plus
Working with diverse and complex data sets, including a range of different data types from a wide range of data sources.
Data analysis and preparation to support the development of analytics products - e.g. analysing, profiling, cleaning, transforming, enriching, and modelling data.
Desirable:
Working within the utilities sector or another regulated environment is beneficial but not essential.
A postdoctoral qualification e.g. MSc, PhD in a relevant field.
Python programming, in particular cleaning and/or transforming data with python.
Mathematics and statistical techniques, particularly in the context of data analytics
Working with cloud-based data warehouse, data lake architectures and cloud technologies relevant to Data Analytics
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Machine Learning (ML)
