2. DEPARTMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY
- Compliance with room standards in Quality, Safety and Process.
- Contribution to the achievement of production performance targets.
- Supporting the management of the shift.
- Delivering on Company Mission, Vision & Values.
3. OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE
The role will have responsibility for working as part of the production team, to produce products to specification, in line with food safety regulations and to the high quality expected by Dunbia customers.
4. MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
**a) **Relationship Development**
- Build positive relationships with colleagues, Team Leaders, Room Leaders and Managers, within the business, offering support within your team, working positively towards the success of the team and generally being a positive force within the team.
- Co-operate and support colleagues and management, demonstrating the ability to contribute to the team atmosphere through hard work, calmness, tolerance and consistency.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with all functions throughout the business that you come in contact with, including Engineering, Stores, Health and Safety, Environmental, Production, Technical, Planning, Finance, Sales, NPD, HR and L & D.
**b) **Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement**
Typical activities will vary according to the specific department where the individual works but will include:
- Being at your work station for the start of shift and having an excellent attendance pattern at work.
- Ensuring that all production procedures and processes are followed in detail.
- Compliance and thorough adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Ensuring adherence to QAS and quality performance guidelines.
- Consistently work as part of the team to ensure delivery in areas such as yield, waste, stock rotation, and quality which could affect achievement of the Production Plan.
- Identify quality issues and take appropriate steps to rectify these.
- Reporting faults in machinery or product to the Team Leader.
- Competently performing all tasks for which training has been completed and signed off.
- Maintaining a clean and tidy work area.
- Clearly communicating with team leader on all aspects of the job.
- Always seeking to improve yourself and your performance.
- Being an ambassador for the business at all times, behaving in a professional and courteous manner to everyone you come into contact with in the course of your work.
- Commitment to the highest level of professionalism, integrity and customer service.
- Contribute to site improvement by offering suggestions for improvement to management when appropriate.
**c) **Team Morale & Development**
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative working environment that supports team work and engagement on team performance.
- Work closely with and support new entrants to the team, ensuring they are welcomed to the team and provided with relevant information.
- Develop a strong working relationship with your colleagues and team and strive to support them in their work.
- Fully and positively participate in all company training, specific to the job role and always strive to develop the necessary skills, knowledge and competency.
- Contribute positively and support the team in the implementation of new initiatives.
**d) **Responsible Care**
- Full compliance and strict adherence to all Environmental, Health & Safety and Quality Standards laid out in departmental and site policies and procedures.
- Ensuring the Health & Safety of all employees in your department is protected, through strict compliance to the Company Standards and Procedures, including the safe operation of all equipment and machinery.
- Ensuring full understanding and compliance with risk assessments and SOPs.
- Full participation and compliance with completion of accident investigation processes
- Provide support and assistance to management in fulfilling their Health & Safety responsibilities.
- Fully comply with the Return to Work interviews ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly and in line with policy.
- Ensure compliance with waste management and segregation processes within the department in line with our environmental commitments.
- Regular engagement with the Maintenance Supervisors on machine issues.
- Be an ambassador for the site at all times, behaving in a professional and courteous manner with both internal and external customers.
- Co-operating professionally during customer visits, providing information to visitors when required.
- To continually focus on personal development within the role and the business, seeking out opportunities to gain knowledge and develop new skills, which will benefit both the individual and the business.
