**Purpose**:
To ensure we are positioned as a high-end premium decking and cladding brand with unrivalled qualities that serve to inspire and motivate our target markets to choose Millboard over other alternatives. To define and shape a distinctive ‘visual design’ identity through stills photography, animation, and video that captures unique Millboard characteristics. To position Millboard as an unmatched global brand that allows our customers to embrace outdoor living. Ensure our internal, trade and retail visual presence is on brand.

The Head of Visual Experience will be responsible for visually presenting our differentiation to help champion and deliver brand dominance in a highly competitive, noisy, and cluttered landscape.
**Scope**:
Under the direction of the Chief Marketing Officer, your role will be to primarily help accelerate a global brand presence that is visually consistent, repeatable, and accessible. This includes owning and defining our brand tone of voice, brand guidelines, asset management protocols, and visual brand design compliance protocols with global distribution channels. Encouraging potential consumers to see, touch, and feel the qualities of Millboard through your work will require creative thinking to deliver positive ‘wow’ moments. Your contributions will help convince prospects to convert to Millboard.
Working with the wider offline and digital marketing teams to ensure our Marketing strategy is aligned with the visual brand framework to help deliver business objectives, you will own and define our visual experience strategy as it relates to brand positioning, engagement, and presence across online and offline channels.
As part of a wider design team, you will work alongside the Head of Creative who will drive our focus on ‘Information Design’ and tactical graphic design needs. This approach will leverage your focus on strategic ‘Visual Design’ principles to achieve a unified design process across printed and digital assets.
Visual experience responsibilities will extend to stills photography, animation, and videography/film to ensure usability and accessibility in the intended marketing and sales channels. This will involve supporting the Head of Creative in producing visual assets for incorporation into designs for showrooms, POS/store designs, printed collateral, brand marketing, and the global website and partner portal.
You will also spearhead our approach to case study development with the BDM team to capture relatable photographic and video content of Millboard installations across residential and commercial environments. This will include defining a global ‘lookbook’ with clear terms of reference to support the commissioning of freelancers in local markets to build an international asset library. Alongside new product development, you will help design and direct photoshoots in support of new product launches and ensure we capture international representation through mood board designs.
International travel will be required from time to time. Hybrid working is supported; the role is based out of our office in Coventry where regular presence is critical to the success of the Millboard team.
**Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to**:
- **Brand champion**: Work with the CMO to ensure there is a consistent “One Millboard” visual experience and brand strategy that protects and nurtures Millboard as a premium player in the global composite decking and cladding market. Build a Centre of Excellence capability for visual experience design.
- **New Product Launch readiness**: As lead ‘Director of Photography’ support global launches and marketing/sales readiness in concert with the NPD and Marketing team. Support directly and through third-party freelancers the ideation, concept development, and development of mood boards and themes in support of launch campaigns for new products. Manage set design and builds as appropriate. Support integration with showrooms as required.
- **Displays**: Support the Global Retail Director, Channel Marketing, and Head of Offline Marketing in developing new concepts for fixed and mobile displays to augment our brand presence to allow prospects to see, touch and feel the Millboard experience. Help define a standard catalogue to support tiers of trade partners across global markets. Work alongside the Head of Creative to support temporary displays such as trade shows and customer-facing exhibitions/events.
