**Great Bear** is a leading 3rd party UK logistics business providing nationwide dedicated and shared user warehousing and distribution solutions for international blue chip clients.
We operate in excess of 7 million sq. ft. of warehousing and operate a large modern commercial vehicle fleet, coupled with an extensive added value service offering.
We have currently recruiting for **Quality Assurance Specialist** at our **Chesterfield, Duckmanton** depot.
**Shifts**:Monday - Friday
**Salary**:£23,390.64
Reporting to the Quality Manager and Responsible Person, you will be responsible for provision of administrative support and creation of accurate data, with the ability to work to deadlines and contributing to the overall success of the site. The successfulapplicant should be a confident user of Microsoft Office, with excellent attention to detail and a proactive and positive approach.
As Quality Assurance Specialist you will be part of a small team and will work closely with the site Quality Manager & RP to support and liaise with all matters relating to the site Quality Management System to ensure we remain compliant to all our currentWDA Licence.
You will have key responsibilities in maintaining and developing all aspects of quality compliance to ensure the site complies to the customer technical agreement and site specific requirements.
**Key accountabilities**:
- Carry out all duties in such a way as to ensure that the wholesale distributor can demonstrate compliance with EU Guidelines on Good Distribution Practice.
- Fully support to maintain and continually improve the company’s Quality Management System in compliance with current GDP guidelines and procedures
- Responsible for the administration of documentation control, ensuring all processes are accurate and reviewed in a timely manner by the relevant teams
- Support and perform site self-inspections
- Assist with the administration of deviations and the investigation and resolution of operational discrepancies and customer complaints
- Coordinate and promptly perform any product track and trace reports
- Perform product hold and releases as requested by the customer
- Assist with product recalls
- Administer and report on customer requests through the group Quality inbox
- Assist with the quality risk assessment to ensure that the requirements of mitigation strategies are defined and implemented
- Assist and support with change management. Ensure that change control process in place for documentation, processes and systems
- Oversee sampling and quality assurance release of products
- Review temperature records through the site Watchman One system and report all temperature excursions.
- Collate monthly Quality statistics and produce compliance reports.
**Qualifications**
- Ideally have experience in Quality
- Basic knowledge GDP guidelines would be beneficial
- Excellent problem solving, analytical and organisational skills
- Ability to identify and suggest improvements to benefit site compliance and customer requirements
- Effective time management
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Confidence and assertiveness
- Excellent IT skills (including Microsoft Office packages)
- Dynamic and self-motivated, keen to achieve excellence within the business
- Have a flexible and adaptable approach
