**The Company**

Xanthos Digital Marketing is a growing digital agency that specialises in digital marketing, website development and ecommerce based in St John’s Innovation Centre in Cambridge. We are part of the Milbank Group which has a diverse and growing portfolio.

An opportunity has arisen for an SEO & Content Executive to join our digital marketing team. We are looking for someone driven, bright, self-motivating, and analytical with strong English writing skills to implement SEO and content marketing for our clients.We need someone with a keen interest in digital marketing and a desire to develop your skills in SEO and content (with an opportunity to develop skills in other areas of digital marketing if you wish).

**The role**

The role is focused predominantly on delivering successful SEO results for our clients. Normal working hours are 9:00 to 17:30, Monday-Friday.

Typical tasks for this role include:

- Assisting in client onboarding and developing SEO strategies for clients
- Develop and implement on-page optimisations
- Keyword research
- Competitor SEO analysis
- Analysing site health, fixing issues which impact SEO, and implementing technical SEO where possible (or liaising with internal and external developers when necessary)
- Content calendar and content creation for blogs and articles
- Analysing performance using GoogleAnalytics, SEMRush and Google Search Console
- Creating analytics reports and providing insights on how to improve digital marketing performance
- Local SEO and local listing management including Google Business Profile optimisations
- Producing SEO reports and analysing performance
- Presenting results to clients and answering client queries

Essential skills and experience
- A minimum of 1 years' experience working in digital marketing and SEO, or demonstrable knowledge of SEO
- Analytical skills and experience using GoogleAnalytics and Google Search Console
- Proficient at writing online copy
- Experience using CMSs to load content and optimise websites/blogs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate ideas to clients and the Xanthos team
- Collaboration skills to work in a team and with clients
- Excellent attention to detail
- Efficient time management skills for working on multiple client campaigns and juggling work priorities

Desired skills and experience
- Agency experience
- Education in relevant fields - English, marketing or other analytical fields
- Proficiency with Microsoft products - Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint
- Experience with Screaming Frog, SEMRush and/or Ahrefs
- Experience with GA4 and Google Tag Manager
- Experience with WordPress or Shopify
