**Overview**

**Duties**
- Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring safe handling of all items.
- Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels, ensuring that products are organised and easily accessible.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently to move products as needed.
- Utilise mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on equipment when necessary.
- Participate in shipping and receiving processes, verifying quantities and condition of items received or dispatched.
- Conduct heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols to prevent injury.
- Perform quality control checks on picked items to ensure accuracy and compliance with order specifications.
- Engage in picking and packing activities, preparing orders for dispatch with attention to detail.
- Manage materials handling tasks effectively, contributing to an organised warehouse environment.
- Use the warehouse management system (WMS) to track inventory movements and assist with stocktaking.

**Experience**
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with load unloading processes and stock management is advantageous.
- Experience operating forklifts or similar machinery is desirable; relevant training may be provided.
- A basic understanding of mechanical systems will be beneficial for equipment maintenance tasks.
- Strong physical stamina is required for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking.
- Attention to detail is crucial for maintaining quality control standards during order fulfilment.

Pay: £11.80-£12.80 per hour
