**Semi Senior/Senior Accountant**

**Hours: **Monday to Friday 9.30am-5pm.

**Location**: Halifax (HX1)

**Salary**: £28,000 to £35,000 (dependant on experience).

Our **Halifax **based accounting company are looking for a **Semi Senior or Senior Accountant** to join their small but busy and thriving team. The company offer their clients a bespoke and personal service, as well as value-for-moneysupport.

**Your duties would include**:

- Completing tax returns.
- Preparing working papers for role trade and limited company accounts.
- Submitting small limited company accounts.
- Assisting Senior Accountants with larger company accounts preparation.
- Approving VAT returns prepared by junior staff.
- Offering colleagues support where needed.
- Dealing with HMRC for technical queries.

**Job requirements**:

- At least 3 years' experience in practice.
- ACCA part qualified, OR qualified by experience.
- An AAT qualification.
- Be willing and eager to learn new software such as Xero.
- An interest in tax or bookkeeping practices and processes.
