Senior Accountant - Liverpool City Centre - up to £45000 - hybrid working

An excellent new role has arisen in**Liverpool City Centre** for a **Financial Reporting Accountant** to join a large worldwide organisation. This role would require you to take responsibility for the timely and accurate preparation of company P&Ls, balance sheets, audit support and financial reports.

Perfect role for someone looking to influence and develop their leadership skills whilst building on key relationships. Strong communication skills are required to work collaboratively with colleagues internally & externally and ability to adapt to the whatthe situation requires. You would be supervising at least one Financial Accountant in the team who is responsible for overheads and bank accounts and assign them duties.

Reporting to an impressive Finance Manager, your core duties will include;
- Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation profit and loss & balance sheet
- Production of financial statements from trial balance
- Preparation of final trial balance and preparation of statutory accounts
- Prepare management accounts on a timely basis
- Execute defined controls, policies and procedures and monitor and address compliance issues on a timely basis
- Review statutory accounts prepared by third parties to ensure accuracy and consistency of information provided
- Prepare bonus forecast and posting of accruals
- Prepare delegated balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation of contribution accounting journals and reconciliations
- Provide detailed plan for external audit schedule
- Update documentation for new or amended controls as required
- Mentor and support Financial accountants
- Assign roles and responsibilities to the Financial Accountants

Key requirements;
- Fully Qualified Accountant (**ACCA**/**CIMA**/**ACA** or equivalent)
- Strong organisational and people management Skills
- Working technical knowledge of international reporting standards
- Understanding of and experience with statutory reporting requirements
- Experience working with a global ERP system
- Ability to take initiative and work on tasks independently or as part of a team
- Excellent customer relations skills
- Good Problem-Solving skills
- Experience of supervising team
