Team Leader Children's Residential Support Worker

**Job Overview**
**Duties**
- Support health, wellbeing and educational needs
- Create and implement care plans tailored to each young person's specific needs in line with The Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards 2015 legislation.
- Engage children in meaningful activities and build trusting relationships
- Administer medication as required
- Support children with independence tasks and meal preparation to prepare for adult life
- Maintain accurate records of care provided
- Support the Homes Manager with Senior related tasks
- Undertake supervision of less experienced colleagues
- Effectively lead and manage a team
- Liaise with external agencies in respect of the young peoples needs and advocate as appropriate
**Qualifications**
- Previous experience working with children or in childcare settings is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, their families and external agencies involved in the overall safeguarding of each young person
- A valid driving licence may be beneficial for certain roles
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
- Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare Working with Children & Young People or equivalent
- A sound understanding of Safeguarding and being able to demonstrate this within your day to day role
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £14.50-£17.00 per hour
