Kiddie Capers Childcare has 12 settings located across Sussex from Ardingly to the South Coast. Owned and operated by two local families, Kiddie Capers Childcare provide a truly enriching early years education, where every child’s potential is reached, and individuality is celebrated.

As a Nursery Apprentice at Kiddie Capers Childcare, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our Nursery. You will work closely with our dedicated team to ensure the wellbeing and development of the children in our care. This role provides hands-on experience and opportunities for growth within the Early Years sector.

We currently have vacancies in our Hassocks and Hurstpierpoint settings. We would also consider applicants for other Mid Sussex settings.

**Requirements**:

- Must be 17 years or older (this is due to staff-to-child ratio regulations in our nurseries)
- Achieved a GCSE Grade C/4 in English and Maths
- A genuine interest in working with children
- Good communication skills and a positive, caring attitude
- Must complete necessary background checks (DBS/Right to Work)

**Main Duties**:

- Assist in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.
- Organise activities, both inside and outside the nursery, which encourage creativity development, co-ordination, independence, self-expression and learning through play.
- Engage with children in play-based learning activities to promote their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Assist with daily routines such as mealtimes, nap times and outdoor play.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to provide the best possible care and support for each child.

**Hours & Pay**:

- 30-35 hours per week, Monday-Friday, fully flexible
- £7.55 - £10.00 per hour

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship

Pay: £7.55-£10.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 35 per week
