Listening Space Peer Support Worker

We have an opportunity for a Listening Space Peer Support Worker to join the organisation on a fixed term basis. The role is based in Oldham, hours are negotiable up to 21.5 hours and will involve working evenings between 5 and 8pm.
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Listening Space Peer Support Worker will be responsible for the daily working of the Listening Space. The Listening Space is a therapeutic space for people to come and feel listened to and supported. Listening Space peer support workers will work with clients via face-to-face contact or telephone. These clients present on the day who require a place to offload or get away from day-to-day stresses.
As a peer support worker, you will be dealing with members of the community to offer support in way of drawing upon own experiences and knowledge. Supporting with the set up and close down of the space, working with individuals and groups.
You will be working with your Listen Space Worker colleague, following their lead. Working within a framework for safeguarding and risk management.
