We at Tudor Employment are thrilled to be recruiting for a temporary Service Desk Agent on behalf of our prestigious client based in Walsall.

The client is one of the nation’s largest discount retailers, with 850 stores across the UK and 16,000 staff. The role will involve the provision of first line support for IT and related services. You will be expected to investigate incidents, and work closely with the resolver groups to ensure treatment is performed promptly and efficiently.

This role is a four-month fixed term contract level only.

Are you the right person for this role? Desirably, the Service Desk Agent will:

- Have a qualification/interest in the technical field
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
- Possess great written and verbal communication skills

What will I be doing? Day to day duties of the Service Desk Agent role are:

- Proactively manage all assigned tickets on a daily basis
- Answer inbound calls in a timely manner
- Execute any scheduled standard changes and checks within the agreed timescale
- Log all enquires within the ITSM system and include any updates as soon as received
- Agree and document any new solutions with experienced team members
- Identify issues that can have an operational impact and escalate to management as appropriate
- 60% of incidents to be resolved or redirected to the appropriate team without seeking advice
- Demonstrate a general understanding of the overall business processes

What are the hours of work?

The Service Desk Agent would be expected to work full-time, Monday to Friday. A hybrid working model is in place which can offer one/two days working from home per week following the training period.

What is the rate of pay?

The Service Desk Agent will be paid £22,000 pro rata.
