**Salary**: £39,500
My client is an international electricity and gas company and one of the largest investor-owned Energy companies in the world. The team is based across London and Warwick (and flexible/remote working arrangements are supported and encouraged, although therewill be a requirement to attend the office as and when required.
About the role:
This role will be supporting the team in developing and maturing HR's Data Governance Operating Model. This will take the form of developing processes and procedures in terms of data compliance, control, ownership and purging - and embedding these processesin the HR function. The role also will require technical knowledge of data modelling and building business rules to enable data quality reporting and technology solutions.
Key accountabilities:

- Work with the HR Data Governance Manager and enterprise data governance teams to mature the data governance control mechanism processes.
- Support the People Data & Analytics team as their data protection champion.
- Provide input on complex technical issues and contribute to architectural decisions; especially in building data quality rules to support Data Quality Reporting solutions.
- Deliver work with strong attention to detail and the utmost judgment and discretion dealing with highly sensitive people data
- Support the Global HR Data Champions in maturing protection compliance assessments.
- Support the HR Data Governance Manager in further developing the HR data purging processes.
- Work with HR representatives to lead on the completion of HR Data Domain business glossary and data rules inputs.
Key skills and experience:

- Experience of working within multiple data focused projects.
- Strong and effective approach to build, interact and manage business stakeholders and to explain data and analytics concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Business management.
- Experience of working within/closely with an operational Data Protection team, HR function, Data Governance Programme.
- 2+ years work experience in an analytics or data engineering role.
- Experience of supporting Data Quality/QMS operations.
- Strong knowledge and past experience of data modelling concepts. Competent in manipulating structured and unstructured data, with a focus on attention to detail and problem solving.
- Desire to work for a value driven organization where every day we do the right thing, find a better way and make it happen.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, Visio and Excel.
- Experience of working within an Agile project, or using Jira (preferred).
- Formal Data Management Qualifications (preferred).
