**Who are we?** We are a hard-working team of commercial contracts managers, supporting a growing logistics business. As a small team, the nature of what we do is varied, ranging from simple contract renewals to involvement in highly complex bids and contract negotiations. We support the end-to-end contracting process for customers and suppliers and as a relatively small team, there is always a lot to do. The pace of work is relatively fast so if you enjoy being challenged and working on a variety of different things at once, this is the place for you **What will you be doing?** Supporting the Technology and Utilities and Defence Sector Account and Business Development Teams, you will provide support to some of Unipart's largest customers, both pre-contract and in-life. Taking the lead on the drafting of contracts and amendments, you will work closely with the account and business development managers to ensure that contracts that we put in place meet the needs of the customer, whilst protecting Unipart from unnecessary risks. We have a number of well-established customer relationships and supporting and continuing to build those relationships is key. To do this, the support we provide must be pragmatic and tailored to suit the individual circumstances of each customer. We are lookingfor someone who is good with coming up with creative commercial solutions to problems which are win-win for both the customer and for Unipart. Knowledge of the Technology Logistics sector would be useful, but not essential, the sector team is highly experienced, commercially aware and has a very collaborative approach. You will work with them in the development of deals, negotiation strategies andcontract drafting. As a key member of the Commercial Contracts and Procurement Team, you will take responsibility for supporting the Technology and Utilities and Defence Sectors and be the expert for those sectors within our team. Other team members are sector-specialists forthe other sectors that Unipart operates in and together we will leverage synergies and support each other where necessary to ensure that the support we can provide continues to be excellent **How we work** Working collaboratively together is something that is at the heart of the way we work at Unipart, as part of that, open and honest communication, encouraging people to make suggestions, and listening to and taking on board the opinions and feedback of othersis really important. This means that we will get to the right answer faster and this role would be ideal for you if you like to work as part of a supportive team environment and enjoy thinking of creative ways to resolve issues together. As an organisation, Unipart Logistics strives to be the best we can be and continuous improvement is embedded in our culture, therefore this role would be ideal for someone who is looking to be involved in the development of commercial contracting process andbest-practice. We are also always looking to provide training and guidance to other departments on commercial and contracts best-practice. Developing people is really important to us, we have some core competencies, two of which, "Negotiation" and " Contract Literacy" are owned by the Commercial Contracts Team. Through engagement with and understanding of the skills and developmental requirementsof all our people, we encourage everyone to be the best they can be. You will be supported to learn and develop your own skills and be encouraged to support the learning and development of others within the commercial contracts team and in the wider UL organisation. **What we need from you** - Demonstrate a proven track-record of delivering pragmatic commercial support, ideally within the Logistics Sector - Possess excellent commercial and negotiation skills with proven ability to work in complex and highly competitive environments - Demonstrate an understanding of the different types of commercial and operational risk in the logistics sector and the solutions required to manage these risks throughout the lifecycle of the contract - Thorough understanding of commercial processes and typical contractual terms with a good understanding of contract law - Appreciation of the factors which impact profitability of a contract - Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills - Demonstrable ability to provide suggestions and solutions to complex commercial and contractual issues **Location**: Flexible / blended office vs home working, with main office locations Nuneaton and Oxford **Contract Type**: Permanent **Hours**: Full time **Salary**: £55,000 - £65,000 plus car **Benefits**: car allowance of £482 per month, 33 days holiday, family healthcare, life insurance, flexible benefits scheme and an employee assistance / total wellbeing scheme You may also have experience in the following: Senior Operations Manager, Contract Manager, Operations Manager, Contract Management, Project Management, Project Manager, Account Manager, Site Operations, Customer Relationship Management, Continuous Improvement, etc. Ref 134 472
