**Finance Business Partner - salary of £40,000 to £50,000 for national locations** Here at Aviva, we are looking for an **experienced Finance professional to join our General Insurance (GI) side of the business**, who will help shape, and ensure achievement of, our divisional business plans and goals, through commerciallyfocused, effective, and timely financial advice and support. **This would be the perfect opportunity for a qualified accountant who prides themselves on their ability to turn complex financial information and data, into simple narrative with realisticaction points.** - Aviva introduced "smart-working" in 2020 and encourage flexible working; however, the successful post-holder will need to be based a commutable distance from our **Norwich, Bristol or Glasgow offices,** with travel to our Norwich office expected every 2 months (i.e., if this isn’t your local site)_ **A bit about the job**: You will play a key role in shaping the performance agenda, providing our GI business with choices about revenue generation, profit optimisation and cost management, as well as ensure that this business area understands the consequences of decisions made.You will also educate the business to ensure that they understand their key value drivers and how they are performing against them, and their financial management responsibilities. Monitoring internal and industry trends, forecasts and competitor analysis,alongside identifying ongoing risks and opportunities, will also be key parts of the role. **Skills and experience we’re looking for**: - Have previous experience undertaking a financial management role, with a relevant accountancy qualification - Strong technical background i.e., able to link technical issues to commercial substance and find solutions to bridge between the two - Good commercial awareness and understanding of business profit drivers - Ability to communicate complex issues in an easily understood manner, dealing confidently with senior stakeholders - Strong financial modelling capability, matched with excellent MS Excel skills **What you’ll get for this role**: - Annual salary of £40,000 to £50,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications) - Generous pension (starting level Aviva contributes 8% when you contribute 2%) - Eligibility for annual performance bonus - Family friendly parental and carer’s leave - 29 days holiday per year plus bank holidays and the option to buy/sell up to 5 additional days - Up to 40% discount for Aviva products - Brilliant flexible benefits including electric cars - Aviva Matching Share Plan and Save As You Earn scheme - 21 volunteering hours per year **Aviva is for everyone**: We flex locations, hours and working patterns to suit our customers, business, and you.
