**The Role**

To lead the delivery of effective and efficient retail marketing operations capability required to support the Group
- To design and develop relevant marketing initiatives and campaigns to support business targets for both acquisition and retention.
- To work proactively with cross-functional stakeholders to optimise our proposition in the retail distribution channel
- To work closely with other members of the marketing department to deliver relevant projects and capability to support wider commercial initiatives
- To provide consultancy support and business development with key networks and other strategic retail distribution partners as necessary
- To lead and manage the Retail Marketing team
- Ensure all activities undertaken adhere to the relevant policies and procedures of the business, is within our risk 'appetite' and is approved according to the appropriate compliance procedures
- Working with other members of the team, collate analyse and interpret appropriate relevant campaign management information
- Work with other key marketing stakeholders to ensure we optimise customer journeys and deliver ROI
- Support, where relevant the group change programme, and projects that are being deployed by the marketing department

**Examples of key activities**
- Lead management, documentation and implementation of the comprehensive 12 month rolling strategic and tactical retail marketing plan and providing monthly reports against agreed KPIs.
- Chair the quarterly marketing stakeholder forum, including managing the agenda, providing previous quarter activity review, next quarter detailed plan, and forward plan update information for pre-reading and use in the forum, and documenting agreed actions.
- Plan utilisation of retail marketing team in advance and manage to ensure resources are aligned with meeting objectives.
- Manage expenditure within established budgets, including monthly forecast and reconciliation with actual spend.
- Nurturing people through agreeing and supporting individual objectives and personal development plans, and holding regular 121s
- Leading purposeful weekly team meetings and daily stand-ups
- Ensuring material risks are documented via appropriate reporting/escalation mechanisms in a timely way

**Skills and Experience**
- Experience of working within commercially driven marketing programmes in a Financial Services organisation
- Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
- Extensive marketing skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Understanding of the products and services provided by the Group
- Awareness of the market in which we operate
- Internal consultancy and influencing skills
- Leadership and management skills
