The Neighbourhood - Kitchen | Bar | Garden at The Bruntsfield Hotel is Edinburgh's newest bar, restaurant, secret garden, and co-working space. Following a major multi-million-pound investment, we are now open and offering an Instagram-ready food and signature cocktail menu, that will leave your mouth watering.

We are looking for Full-time & Part-time Food & Beverage Assistants to join our team

The shifts will be a mix of breakfast, brunch, lunch & dinner service, as well as the occasional function, including weddings and funerals, in our Cardoon Suite. We will always take into consideration

Previous restaurant / hospitality experience is advantageous. Previous experience with Guestline ePOS is advantageous but not required as full training will be provided. Imminent on the job training will be provided from day one, along with online training courses too.

Key Responsibilities:

- Taking food & beverage orders from customers and serving as requested, paying attention to detail
- Satisfying customer requests in a timely manner
- Assessing customer preferences and making drink and food recommendations
- Providing a positive and friendly guest experience by interacting with co-workers and guests professionally but not in a stuffy manner
- Checking identification to verify legal age requirements for all customers and enforcing Challenge25
- Answering any guest queries about the menu, adjoining hotel, and local area
- Ensuring there is plenty of prep always done for service
- Cleaning the tables, chairs, and work area to maintain a sanitary environment
- Complying with all food and beverage / health and safety regulations
- Making classic drinks and mixing beverages using an extensive range of ingredients including liquor, bitters, soda, water, sugar, fruits, and homemade liquor infusions (training will be given if required)
