6. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POST
- Undertake administrative duties in relation to recruitment activity in line with company processes and policies.
- Ensure the vacancy approval process has been followed by the recruiting manager and approvers.
- Liaise with the head of human resource and manage the recruitment of staff from start to finish.
- Check adverts and job descriptions prior to advertising ensuring they comply with legislation.
- Ensure accurate and timely entry and update of recruitment vacancy and applicant data in Recruitment database to support accurate reporting and collection of KPIs
- Issue Statement of Particulars (contracts) ensuring that the details in the contract are accurate and the contract template fits the post.
- Supporting reissuing contracts and new starter documentation
- Arrange for staff newly appointed to attend company Induction as appropriate.
- Provide administrative cover as appropriate during periods of leave for colleagues within the HR shared service team.
- Provide the highest possible level of customer service at all times to managers and applicants.
- Make recommendations on potential improvements to the service and participate in the implementation of procedural enhancements
- Assist in training newly appointed Shared HR services staff
- Undertake continuing personal development, including mandatory and statutory updating, maintaining a portfolio
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential Desirable Qualifications NVQ 3 in Administration or equivalent qualification or knowledge Knowledge Understanding of administrative processes and systems in a busy environment Good working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
Knowledge of NHS Terms and Conditions of Service Knowledge of right to work principles Knowledge of TRAC Jobs and how they support recruitment Recruitment processes NHS Standards related to recruitment, i.e. pre employment checks Knowledge of equal opportunities legislation relating to recruitment Awareness of equality and diversity in relation to recruitment.
