Care Manager - Frinton-On-Sea - Salary DOE
CDL are working alongside an award winning and industry leading Domiciliary Care Company in the Frinton area who are seeking an experienced and motivated Care Manager.
Position outline
- To provide high quality homecare services that support the rights of customers to live the lives they choose as far as they are able. The registered manager is directly accountable to the owner(s) and to the regulatory body
- Efficiently manage the day to day running of the business. Allocate resources and monitor performance to deliver high quality homecare to customers.
- Manage all aspects of the staff team and provide exceptional leadership
- Understand and monitor health and safety in the workplace and in the field. Act as lead for infection prevention and control
- Effectively manage complaints and incidents. Carry out investigations relating to the quality of the service and use findings to make improvements
- Manage the effective recruitment, induction and training of the coordinator (s), supervisor (s), care workers and other support staff
- Identify ongoing training needs and ensure staff are up to date with current best practice
- Ensure all emergency on-call issues are dealt with effectively, such as covering calls either directly or indirectly when care workers are sick or absent
- Experience and skills required
- Must have NVQ L5 or equivalent, or willing to work towards a relevant management qualification
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience of building positive working relationships with service users and families
- Experience of care services and risk assessments
- Ability to plan and organise workloads effectively
- Good administrative skills and computer literacy
- Experience of managing and developing an effective staff team including recruitment, training, and supervising staff
- Ability to implement policies, procedures and instructions
- Enhanced DBS
Desirable criteria
- Experience of managing the delivery of social care services as a registered manager
- Train the trainer qualifications
- Knowledge of business management
