Due to continued growth, we have a vacancy for a Skilled Remediation Site Operative in our Hampshire Office. As a Skilled Remediation Site Operative, you will be expected to support civils remediation teams and managers in all aspects of civils works, including (but not limited to) excavations using either manual or mechanical excavation processes, removal of contaminated materials, including concrete blocks, slabs and bricks, and the replacement thereof. You would also support project managers and remediation engineers in the provision of spill response, emergency mitigation, site investigation and remediation services on behalf of our clients, for which full training will be given. The main role will include working on projects involving contaminated land remediation and reinstating affected buildings and/or structures to the highest standard, providing site supervision when required. You will be expected to work in all areas of the business, assisting with delivering emergency mitigation measures across our sites, following the release of pollutants into the environmental throughout the UK. You will be given support with your personal career development and will initially have the opportunity to progress to a role as a Remediation Site Supervisor / Team Leader. - We are looking for someone who is practical, used to working outdoors and has some experience (>2 years) and training in a primary trade, with multi-skills being an advantage. - Knowledge and experience of general groundworks, general building & landscaping - You must have a valid driving licence and be IT competent - It is essential that you have the right to work in the UK. - The role is based in our Hampshire office, which is commutable from Andover, Winchester, Salisbury, Eastleigh and Southampton, but you must also be willing to travel to other parts of the UK, including occasional overnight stays. - Good Health and Safety knowledge and qualifications (e.g. SSSTS) would be advantageous, as would plant operator licences, including dumpers and/or excavators. - Due to the nature of our work, you will also be required to complete a basic DBS check, at the company’s expense. - As the work involves working with pollutants and therefore the use of RPE you must be willing to be clean shaven for a face fit test and subsequent usage. **In return you will receive the following**: - Salary up to £34,000 dependant on previous experience. - A generous benefits package, including a pension scheme, health cash plan and life assurance. - 25 days leave a year, plus bank holidays and the option to buy or sell up to 5 days leave a year. - Training and career development opportunities Please include a covering letter with your CV, explaining how you fit the criteria for the role.
