**About us**
We are a rapidly expanding, independent, general haulage company operating throughout the UK. We provides same day, next-day or scheduled delivery services for general freight, as well as comprehensive logistics solutions, including the operation of customer-liveried vehicles.
**Role**
We are looking for an enthusiastic & conscientious full time HGV Class 1 Day TRAMPERS for our Manchester based operation. Additional hours/shifts will be available if required.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Represent Optimum Transport in a professional manner at all times
- General haulage deliveries
- Adhering to all Tachograph, Driver and Road Regulations
- Ensuring vehicle is cleaned appropriately, and maintained in line with Company policy
- Completion of all legal and customer relevant paperwork
- Observe Company procedures and policies at all times
- Ensure the correct equipment and PPE, (personal protective equipment) is in good order and used at all times
- Ensure all delivery and on road issues are reported to the traffic office immediately
- Undertake all daily checks, ensuring defects are immediately reported and correct paperwork completed
**Essential Criteria**
- A valid clean HGV Class 1 licence (minor points considered)
- A digital tachograph card and full CPC
- Tramping experience
- Minimum 1 years’ experience driving Class 1
- Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative
- Good geographical knowledge
- Excellent customer service
