Working 37.5 hours a week, you will join the team at St. Neots Neurological Centre to provide care, therapeutic and rehabilitation pathways for those affected by a neurological or mental health condition for which challenging behaviour may be the leadingimpairment. With experience from the NHS or private sector, you will have a dedicated specialist caseload, which will see you provide communication and/or swallowing assessments to differentiate difficulties and diagnoses to support their treatment plans. You will providereports and records of each service user's treatments and progression. You will know one or two things about communication as you lead group therapeutic group sessions and clinical projects using a range of verbal and non-verbal communication skills to engage service users in their treatment plans. You will build one-to-onerapport with each service user to encourage engagement and empower recovery. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will alongside the Kitchen team, Nursing team and visiting Dieticians to plan adequate nutritional and appropriate consistency meals are provided to service users. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will enjoy regional support from healthcare professionals and will be part of an environment where there is an emphasis on teamwork.
