The Faculty of Health, Sport and Behavioural Sciences at the University of Northampton is looking to appoint an experienced and inspirational academic leader to become Head of School for Nursing and Midwifery. The school academic areas include undergraduate programmes in midwifery, all four fields of nursing; Mental Health, Learning Disability, Children and Young People’s and Adult and as well as post-registration provision including Advanced Clinical Practice, Return to Practice and Specialist Community Public Health Nurse and a range of Continuing Professional Development courses. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Faculty Executive Leadership Team leading the school with responsibilities for the academic portfolio, a delegated budget, student recruitment and experience, staff development and liaison with relevant external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies.

We want you to be able to carry out your work in a way that best supports UON and our students, but also you as an individual. We understand this may vary between different areas of the university as well as from one person to another and this role has an expectation of at least three days a week on campus.

**Faculty**
The Faculty of Health, Sport and Behavioural Sciences offers a wide-ranging suite of programmes focused on improving the health, social care, physical activity and sport, psychology and wellbeing of people living and working across the county, nationally and globally. The faculty has 4 schools: Nursing and Midwifery, Health; Psychology and Behavioural Sciences and Sport and Public Health. In addition to the academic portfolio, two commercial and enterprise units form part of the faculty overall operations - the NMC Competency Test Centre and the Podiatry Clinic.
Faculty staff and students form a positive and integral part of the local community. The teams work closely with many external organisations - including local government, schools, health and social care providers and charities, these relationships benefit and enhance the student and staff experience, impacting positively on local and global communities and individuals.
