Contract Scotland are delighted to present an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our client's well-established team in the East of Scotland. A main contractor specialising in industrial and commercial building projects, our client can offera secure pipeline of work and the opportunity to work on building projects from inception to completion.
You will play a key role in managing and steering costs, building and maintaining relationships, and ensuring project success and satisfaction. To be considered for this opportunity you will be a professional, organised and driven individual. You will beconfident and competent in liaising with clients and have a desire to learn and develop.
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Advising and liaising with operational management on contract and commercial matters.
- Carrying out valuations and ensuring payments are issued on time.
- Reporting monthly costs, maintaining accurate financial records, and preparing cost forecasts.
- Ensuring quotations are evaluated carefully and comply with project specifications.
- Successfully managing sub-contractor accounts.
You will:
- Be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or alternative relevant disciple.
- Have demonstrable commercial experience within the construction industry.
