We have an excellent opportunity for a Shift Leader** **to join our Residential Service in New Mills, SK22 4LW.
- Pay Rate: £14.58 Ph
- Contractual hours - 42hrs
**Duties Include**
- Managing a safe shift in the home to provide leadership to the team by acting as a positive role model.
- Behave in a manner which reflects positively on the company.
- To ensure safe staffing allocations
- Provide effective supervisions and appraisals to members of the staff team.
- Ensure positive team working by providing motivation, support, guidance, and advice to the team members.
- Ensure staff are completing appropriate reports on nourish/ACC.
- Buddy new starters to comply with staff code of conduct.
- To assist the Service Manager in ensuring IBC policies and procedures are followed and adhered to by the team.
- Lead infection control tasks on each shift including, cleaning delegation, fridge and food temperatures, haccap, food hygiene.
- Carry out a detailed handover at the start and end of each shift.
- Management of monies in the home on each shift ensuring receipts obtained and all monies accounted for.
- Supporting shift leading duties across site when requested by management (times such as sickness/annual leave etc)
**Person Specifications**
- NVQ level 3 in Health and Social care (desirable)
- 1+ years’ experience as a senior support worker or in a similar leadership role.
- Knowledge and experience of working with vulnerable adults with learning disabilities.
- Calm natured and patient
- Positive and proactive individual and take initiative.
- Accountable to ensure all daily duties on the shift you are managing are carried out
- Good communication skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Flexible working methods
- Ongoing involvement to develop professional development
