**Role overview**:
Pinsent Masons Vario provides a range of professional services to our clients. These include flexible legal provision, diversity & inclusion consultancy, legal project management, legal technology consultancy and managed legal services.
The Consulting, Process and Technology practice incorporates legal technology and Lean Six Sigma functions, providing services to internal and external clients. We have developed our consultancy model to support our clients’ operational transformation bydeploying our technology and process expertise including: contract lifecycle management, design thinking, cyber and data expertise and broader legal operations consultancy.
This role will be instrumental in building the consultancy practice and your primary focus will be on developing strategic client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and converting opportunities into chargeable engagements.
This is a challenging but rewarding role where having a strong commercial awareness is essential and you will be responsible for revenue generation and creating appropriate pricing proposals and driving revenue generation.
The Lead Consultant will be expected to operate independently and be confident in first contact situations taking a lead role in client engagements throughout the full relationship lifecycle.
You will be expected to significantly contribute to the development of materials and collateral in support of the consulting practice
**Main duties and responsibilities**:
- Promote the consulting practice externally and identify potential revenue opportunities
- Business development activities and client relationship management
- Lead on chargeable engagements, understand client outcomes and identify potential solutions
- Provide strategic insight and thought leadership to the consultancy practice
- Conduct research, carry out analysis and prepare briefings on a range of topics
- Establish and build relationships with legal technology providers in support of our partner ecosystem
- Develop core procedures, methodologies, templates, and online tools
- Implementation of online tools and automation of tools and models (e.g., chat bots, online questionnaires, reports & assessments)
- Development of templates for use in client engagements (e.g., business case, ROI calculators, requirements, and analysis, RFx templates
- Take a leading role in the operation and management of the consulting practice
**Experience Required**
- Minimum level 7 diploma in Professional Consulting (or equivalent)
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate solutions, including experience presenting to external stakeholders at a variety of levels
- Creating thinking with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrable ability to influence internal and external stakeholders - anticipating challenges and objections, gain trust and displaying credibility
- Collaborative and comfortable engaging in the wider legal operations and legal technology communities
- Hands on technical skills, including no
- and lo-code environments, Microsoft 365, document automation, chat bots and workflow automation tools
- Strong project planning, organisational and management abilities, with experience completing projects with mínimal direction and the ability to identify project risks
- Focus on project aims ensuring objectives and timescales are met
- Positive team player with ability to collaborative with technical and non-technical delivery partners building key relationships across the business and externally
