We are looking for a Phlebotomist / Healthcare Assistant to work 3 mornings per week from 8.30am to 12.30pm (or 9.00am to 1.00pm). Ideally this will be Monday to Wednesday although we do have some flexibility over the days worked.

**Main Clinical Duties**

1. Phlebotomy

2. New Patient health checks

3. Measurement of height and weight

4. Urinalysis

5. Measurement of blood pressure, temperature and pulse

6. Flu Vaccinations

7. Chaperoning Duties

8. Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs / Nurses

**Practice Information**

Our practice area stretches from the borders of Newcastle into rural Northumberland so we cover both urban and rural communities. Most patients are based in and around our main surgery in Ponteland but we also have a branch site in Wylam. We dispense from both sites and provide the full range of GP services. Our Ponteland site opened in 2006 and is spacious and well equipped including a large car park.

We currently have 8,000 registered patients.

We have 6 GPs, 3 Practice Nurses, 3 Health Care Assistants and 15 Reception & Admin staff. We have an on-site community nursing team (District Nurses, Health Visitors, School Health & Midwives) along with a range of other community services (Podiatry, Physiotherapy, Dietician etc).

Our building also hosts a range of outpatients clinics provided by the local hospitals.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £10.75-£11.09 per hour
