We have a fantastic opportunity here at Hastings Direct to join our successful Solution Architecture team as a Data Solutions Architect.
Do you have the experience, knowledge and skills to help refine and deliver our strategic data architecture using cloud native technologies?
Are you passionate about data and how it is used to power a business forward through pricing, analytics and counter fraud solutions?
Are you excited by exploring data technologies and how they can be utilised and optimised to provide fit for purpose solutions that meet the needs of the business?
**Roles and Responsibilities**
You will be leading and undertaking data solution architecture and design work across the change lifecycle, as well as providing technical leadership, guidance and consultancy across internal teams.
Activities include: creating data solution architecture designs, creating design principles and architecture patterns, selection of new technology as well as being involved in technical enablers and proof of concepts.
We're looking for great communicators who are able to work with stakeholders and development teams and synthesise requirements and technology into solution architectures and then champion the resulting architecture.
**Skills, Knowledge & Experience**
We are looking for people with the following skills and knowledge or who are keen to broaden their existing skill sets:
- Cloud (Microsoft Azure)
- Cloud Data Warehouses (Snowflake)
- Data Orchestration/Transformation tools (Azure Data Factory)
- CI/CD Tooling (Azure DevOps)
- Data Catalogues
- Broad understanding and knowledge of data concepts such as Data Architecture, Data Modelling, Business Intelligence, Data Quality, Data Management, Data Mesh, Data Ops.
**Personal Attributes**
You do not need to have worked in the Insurance industry, we are looking for people with strong architectural knowledge and experience with a desire to learn about new technologies. Above all, you need a passion for data and technology.
