£11.50 per hour Saturday and Sunday

**Brief Description**

A great position for a *female support worker who loves to get out and about, someone who has a passion to support a fun loving girl in Bridgnorth who has an acquired brain injury resulting in Cerebral Palsy.

*Jenny loves to swim, horse riding, shopping, arts and crafts, fitness, and holidays, she is mobile but sometimes uses her wheelchair. To communicate she uses PECS and Makaton which her ideal support worker will have knowledge of but this isn't essential.

**About the role**

*Jenny is looking for an organised support worker to enjoy activities 20hrs a week on a 6 week rota including nights and days. As part of the role you will provide personal care, administering fluids, food, and medication through a PEG (full training will be given). *Jenny has a whole therapy team around her SALT, OT, Physio, and Psychologist programmes, you will be following their care plans on communication, physical and emotional to support her.

This role would suit someone who loves to enjoy and organise activities in the day, especially a swimmer and a driver (to drive the family car) you will also need to be flexible with your hours at weekends and during school or university hours.
- *An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service will be requested. _The post applied for is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) (Amendment) Order 1986 and therefore you are required to disclose your criminal background_
- *The post is compliant in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 relating to Occupational Requirements for a female or male worker if specified._
