Hedgehog has been providing car insurance for 3 years, and we are now looking to accelerate our business with support from new partners.

Rostella is looking for a **Pricing Analyst** to join our Pricing team at an exciting time as the business looks to grow. The Pricing team is responsible for the development and implementation of pricing strategies using sophisticated data andanalytics.

A Pricing Analyst focuses on the profitability of the book and maximising income. They should also have a proactive and creative approach problem solving and implementation of solutions.

**While the office is based in Cardiff, the position offers the flexibility of hybrid working.**

**Your key responsibilities**:
Using innovative methodologies to inform pricing decisions and to enhance the customer experience, the jobholder will:

- Develop and maintain statistical models to analyse pricing performance and total profitability.
- Recommend changes to pricing structures based on detailed reviews of competitive position, customer behaviour and profitability.
- Evaluate the potential impact of new data sources on performance and manage the integration into pricing models.
- Establish and evaluate tests to assess the relative performance of competing pricing structures.
- Analyse and monitor competitor pricing activity

**Your skillset and experience**:
**Technical**:

- Demonstrated ability to analyse data to support decision-making.
- Able to identify, investigate and explain data trends.
- Previous analytical coding experience (eg SQL, SAS, Emblem, Radar, r, python)
- 1+ years in Personal lines insurance as a Pricing analyst.

**Personal**:

- Excellent communicator, able to convey complex results to technical and non-technical staff.
- Creative approach to problem solving.
- Able to identify and understand stakeholder concerns and propose actions to address them.
- Able to use own initiative and progress work independently, delivering within agreed timescales
