**Role: Head of Retail - Farm Shop**

**Location: Blubberhouses - Nr Otley, West Yorkshire**

**Salary: Circa £35’000 - £38’000 totally dependent on experience**

**Head of Retail,**
**General Manager in food,**
**Food Buyer, Assistant Food Buyer or Store Manager** ready for their first appointment to lead a retail team and take ownership for the buying function of the store to further develop an aspirational fresh and dry farm store.

We are focusing our search for a
**Head of Retail,**
**General Manager - Farm Shop,**
**Food**
**Buyer or**
**strong Store Manager** who has a
**huge passion** for artisan food products aimed at a discerning customer.

You need to have your finger on the pulse. It is essential you have a passion for buying and procurement plus the commercial attributes to identify opportunities and maximise the stock potential. Alongside this you would be leading a Store Manager and their team to deliver and outstanding experience to the customer.

We need you to have the ability to jump on board, bringing with you some key buying and retailing skills coupled with a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
- Creative eye to create statements and food stories.
- Food Retail or Food Buying experience is essential.
- Identify new products, ranges and additional lines for the store.
- Managing supplier relationships with a keen eye on cost control.
- Focus to ensure the retail site is maximising £ per sq.
- Focus on top line growth with an impact on the bottom line and margin.
- Ability to think on your feet, devising new initiatives and products to maximise sales.
- Ability to oversee and lead both the operational and commercial arms of the retail business.
- Have natural passion, energy and drive.
